Mountain dew

While I was at Firstborn, they were the digital Agency of Record for Mountain Dew.  This gave me some incredible projects to work on including many pieces of virtual reality content.  See many of the projects below.

dew x nba - Interactive bus stop

​

To celebrate Mountain Dew’s partnership with the NBA, we turned one panel of a Milwaukee bus shelter into an interactive touchscreen experience that gets fans closer than ever to one of the hottest players in the league—Giannis Antetokounmpo.  Special thanks to the best hidden-camera people in the biz, TV Boy.  

 

Mountain dew VR

This case study showcases three VR experiences that we built for Mountain Dew.  The first was a skateboarding experience down Freemont street in Las Vegas, with professional skateboarders, including Paul Rodriguez and Sean Malto. Next up was snowboarding down an untouched mountain in Utah. This VR experience allowed you to snowboard down the mountain with pros like Danny Davis and Scott Lago.  The third VR experience featured in this video placed the viewer in a muscle car being driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr, as he pushed his away into Bristol Motor Speedway.

Each of these VR experiences took viewers to places they only imagined.  It pushed their adrenaline, increased their heartbeat, and showed them why Mountain Dew is the best soft drink around.

dew VR Beat Drop

​

What is better than being in an exclusive night club?  Well, how about when that whole club drops the beat and takes you along for the ride?  Strap on your parachute and have fun.  This was a beautiful shoot in Los Angeles with our friends at Digital Domain.

dew-cision VR Racing

​

This case study details the interactive VR racing game that we built for Mountain Dew. Viewers strapped into a haptic chair and grabbed a steering wheel, before racing through different worlds that showcased the colors and style of two new Dew flavors, Pitch Black and Baja Blast.  DEWcision featured NASCAR drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne, and Chase Elliott.

Mountain dew Kickstart - Puppy Monkey Baby

 

After appearing in a Kickstart commercial during Super Bowl 50, Puppy Monkey Baby generated a massive amount of media coverage including people that both loved and hated the character.  Mountain Dew wanted to quickly capitalize on the excitement and so they leased the IP to Commonwealth Toys.  In order to make t-shirts, dolls, and keychains, Commonwealth needed a better CG model.  With Ron White, my lead CG Artist, we were able to make Puppy Monkey Baby come to life.

Mountain dew & Doritos - Fuel up for battle

To gear up for the much-anticipated Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare game, Mountain Dew and Doritos offered gamers the opportunity to earn exclusive in-game rewards and advantages through package codes.
